TRB Planning Application Conference
| The activities of TRACC, with an emphasis on TRANSIMS and evacuation modeling, were also exhibited at the TRB Planning Application Conference in Houston in May 2009. TRACC operated a booth, similar to the booth operated at the General TRB Conference in January. The interest in TRANSIMS and the work at TRACC was large, due to the fact that attendees at this conference were particularly interested in transportation planning. The booth was part of a larger group of exhibits by commercial vendors, many of which represented companies that are selling transportation modeling software. Some of these vendors were demonstrating integration of their products with TRANSIMS to make use of the advanced modeling features that TRANSIMS has to offer. Others were interested in the visualization technologies developed by TRACC, and about the mechanisms of becoming users at the TRACC facility. |  |
