Training Course: Computational Hydraulics and Aerodynamics using STAR-CCM+ for CFD Analysis
A training course in the use of computational hydraulics and aerodynamics CFD software using CD-adapco's STAR-CCM+ for analysis will be held at TRACC from March 30-31, 2011.
The course assumes a basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and will make extensive use of hands on tutorials. CD-adapco will issue trial licenses and provide the software to participants for the tutorials. The tutorials will be small problems that will run on a modern laptop computer. Instructions for obtaining the trial license will be sent when you register.
There is no charge for the course, and you can participate on-line or via videoconferencing. If you plan to travel to the TRACC facility for the course, you will have to cover your travel expenses. If you are a foreign national, plan to come to Argonne for the course, and do not have up-to-date clearance to visit Argonne, then please respond as soon as possible because it can take two weeks or more to obtain a new Argonne visitor clearance for foreign nationals. You do have up-to-date visitor status if you have an active TRACC cluster account.
You will be registered for the course if you reply to this email and send the reply to SLottes@anl.gov or CFD_TRACC@anl.gov with your contact information.
If you wish to register, please also indicate if you plan to attend at the TRACC location on the Argonne site near Chicago, Illinois, or if you would like to participate via Internet2 videoconference or over the internet via Adobe Connect. Participation via Adobe Connect only requires a computer connected to the internet.Announcement
