Basic Purpose |
| |
Provide analysis and support in radiological dose modeling, including development of advanced mathematical models and computer codes for the evaluation of radionuclide transport in the environment. Provide the technical basis, interpretation, statistical significance, and uncertainty associated with these analyses for inclusion in environmental assessments, journal publications, and other technical reports. |

Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
| |
Considerable Knowledge of radiological health physics, radiological dose calculations, risk assessment, pathway analysis, and radionuclide transport modeling.
Knowledge of computer program design and development and proficient in one or more programming languages such as Fortran, Visual Basic, and C++.
Skill in mathematical modeling and human health risk evaluation using computer models.

Good Knowledge of statistical methods and applications in environmental cleanup.
Skill in preparing and presenting research results, both written and oral.
Skill in conducting research and analytical assessment studies and in arriving at conclusions that will withstand the intense scrutiny of professional experts.
Knowledge of radiation measurement and instrumentation techniques.
Knowledge of MS Excel and Access Database.
Experience in waste disposal technologies.
