Basic Purpose |
| |
Responsible for the design, implementation, and development of nanometer scale X-ray optics using nanofabrication techniques; use modeling to support experimental work, and for reporting relevant results in an appropriate form. |

Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
| |
Considerable
Considerable knowledge of the application of techniques suitable for nanofabrication technology for optics or related high-aspect ratio nanostructures.
Considerable skill in designing, modeling, and implementing of nanofabrication process technology.
Considerable experience in one or more of the following processes: e-beam lithography, chemical mechanical polishing, electroforming, reactive ion etching, and electron microscopy.
Considerable skill in understanding abstract concepts and independently synthesizing results within the current experimental and theoretical framework.
