Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Assist a program related to the development of heat transfer fluids with enhanced thermophysical and thermal storage capabilities. Develop processing routes to fabricate metal and ceramic nanoparticles and disperse them in fluids to produce stable suspensions. Extensively characterize the suspensions for the desired properties.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Comprehensive
Knowledge and skills in synthesis and characterization of metal and ceramic nanoparticles is desired. Sound chemistry fundamentals with knowledge and skills related to dispersion strategies of nanoparticles in fluids to fabricate stable suspensions/colloids.
  Considerable
Material characterization techniques such as X-Ray, SEM, EDAX, TEM, NMR, IR, SAXS, and viscosity measurements.
  Good
Communication skills to plan and present the research results to peers. Ability to write technical papers and make presentations at technical meetings.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Years Since Ph.D. -- 0-1, 1-2, 2-3
