Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Conduct and assist in meteorological field studies and data collection activities. Manipulate, organize, and analyze data, maintain and deploy instrumentation. Support model development and coding support for climate science activities. Handle assignments as task or project leader.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Considerable
Knowledge of atmospheric physics and mathematics, data acquisition systems, meteorological instrumentation, data analysis procedures and products, and data management techniques. Skill in programming.
  Good
Knowledge of mesoscale meteorology models and analysis. Knowledge of automating data quality assurance and data management tools and scripting in PERL/Python. Skill in oral and written communications. Skill in defining project objectives and working as a team member, as required. Skill in managing small projects independently. Must demonstrate good growth potential.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Ph.D. and 0-1 year experience/equivalent Master's Degree and 2-3 years of experience/equivalent Bachelor's Degree and 6-8 years experience/equivalent
