Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Under the guidance of a supervisor, conducts goal-oriented research and development on advanced battery systems. Contributes by utilizing electrochemical modeling to assist in understanding and improving the life and performance of cells and batteries, as well as their components. Elucidates and solves electrochemical problems related to cell and battery development.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Comprehensive
Comprehensive knowledge of the theoretical and experimental aspects of electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering.
  Considerable
Considerable skills in developing and utilizing microscopic and macroscopic models for electrochemical systems. Considerable skills in designing, conducting, and interpreting experiments, in oral and written communication, and in interpersonal relationships.
  Good
Good knowledge of advanced battery operation and structure, and the experimental techniques associated with these areas.
  Other
This level of knowledge is typically achieved through a formal education in chemical engineering or related discipline at the Ph.D. degree level with 0-3 years of experience or equivalent in the scientific application of this knowledge and practical laboratory experience.
