Basic Purpose |
| |
The appointee will work with members of the USQCD collaboration to develop the software and algorithmic infrastructure needed for the numerical study of quantum chromodynamics, and of theories that have been proposed to describe physics beyond the Standard Model of high energy physics. They will help optimize and run codes on ALCF computing resources and will help carry out the research plans of the relevant Early Science and INCITE projects. They will also collaborate with members of ALCF and from the rest of ANL on issues related to computational science, applied math, and physics. |

Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
| |
Considerable Considerable knowledge of high performance computational science, particularly in areas relevant to Lattice Field Theory.

Good Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
Good skill in the solution of computational science problems using scalable parallel computers and large data systems.
Good knowledge of programming languages and MPI.
Good collaborative skills, including the ability to work well with other labs, universities, supercomputer centers, and industry.
