Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  The System Analyst for Data Quality will be responsible for the review, analysis, quality, retention and reuse of organizational information, including data loaded into the database systems. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing information analysis tools and business processes that allow for the review and correction of all data entry done by the organization. You will also participate in conceptualizing, organizing, and planning quality assurance activities to support testing data fixes, and audit reports, and developing, documenting, implementing, and monitoring business and technical processes to ensure data integrity. This exciting role will assist in the design and implementation of systems for TDC business development and licensing project data tracking and reporting and provide user support to Department of Energy, TDC and divisions on database use and data structure. Other responsibilities will address complex queries and report development where multiple database resources may need to be joined, plan and implement kaizen tasks for data quality continuous process improvement, including comprehensive knowledge of other institutional systems and their potential interface with the Division`s database.

  Comprehensive
  • Extensive experience engineering business processes,
  • Extensive experience leading the continuous improvement of business processes,
  • Extensive experience writing and monitoring standard procedures related to data capture, retention and reuse,
  • At least five years of hands-on experience utilizing the most current information analysis tools to mine relational databases for pertinent organizational information,
  • Skills in analysis and validation of data with a high consequence for error,
  • Ability to understand and work with varying data formats, and
  • Required to understand the basic infrastructure of multiple institutional systems and data sources that interface with TDC Division business systems.
  •   Considerable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels,
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities,
  • Ability to communication technical data to users,
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment is required.

  • Ability to both think strategically and manage day to day details required for an effective Operation, and
  • Good knowledge in developing documentation (i.e. system, user guides, process, etc.).

  • Bachelor`s Degree in Information Science, or related information management field and 5 years of experience managing/validating information databases, and
  • At least five years of hands-on experience utilizing the most current information analysis tools to mine relational databases for pertinent organizational information.
  •   Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years work experience or equivalent, and
  • Graduate degree and 2+ years work experience or equivalent.
