Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Provides expert and authoritative advice and technical expertise on the application of accounting principles, and the design and development of accounting systems. Solve accounting problems in particularly difficult and responsible circumstances and conducts accounting research to resolve such matters, choosing the appropriate methods for resolution and successfully weighing the consequences of such methods. Make decisions that are difficult due to criteria that vary with the event or governing regulations and standards. The use of judgment and ingenuity is required and will exercise broad latitude in interpreting the intent of applicable guidelines. This position requires innovation and adeptness at conceiving new strategies for implementation for solving problems that are complicated by the diversity of accounting and control systems; conflicting requirements in balancing ledgers; and conflicting and complicated accounting transactions.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Comprehensive
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Cost Accounting Standards, Labor Laws and federal and state tax laws related to the functional sections area of concentration. Comprehensive knowledge of automated accounting systems in diverse computing environments including strong computer skills.
  Considerable
We require considerable personal initiative and leadership qualities, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to organize and manage complex special projects. We offer great career enhancing rotational assignments and a team approach to our work.
  Other
A master`s degree and/or CPA are preferred.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work experience.
