Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Manages a portfolio of multiple repair projects typically values at less than $500,000 with a total portfolio typically values at no more than $3 million. Work is focused on facility infrastructure improvements; but may occasionally manage smaller Institutional General Plant Projects (IGPP). Interacts mainly with Operations Managers and principal investigators.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Considerable
-Considerable skill in preparing the design specifications, estimating the cost, and managing the installation and/or construction of components and systems. -Considerable knowledge of personnel and project management principles and tools. -Considerable skill and demonstrated expertise in management and leadership techniques and in technical direction and supervision. -Considerable oral and written communication skills and the ability to works with all level of internal and external contacts and to build excellent working relationships. -Considerable skill in negotiation and the ability to achieve designated project goals. -Considerable knowledge of engineering principles, practices, codes and standards, as applied to the delivery of projects.

-Some skill in work related use of computers.

Project Management assignments will be determined by management based upon overall Total Project Cost (TPC), project scope and complexity. Entry to the various levels will be based upon qualifications, previous demonstrated and or documented experience and expertise.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work experience or equivalent
