Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Works under the direction of a Foreman, often with Maintenance Mechanics I, to develop skills and knowledge in the use of tools and equipment and to learn to repair, troubleshoot, overhaul, disassemble and assemble primary building and/or utility equipment systems.
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Verified college or trade school courses or equivalent in electrical and mechanical systems pertinent to one or more major building equipment systems at the Laboratory. Ability to explain and discuss basic principles of major building systems. Must be willing to attend additional selected courses approved by management under the Laboratory`s educational reimbursement program. Complies with all Laboratory and division ESH policies, work rules, and safe work practices.
